Masjid Jamek (Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque)

Merdeka / Old KL·mosque·Free
4.6
Google rating
Based on ~10,759 reviews
THE VERDICT

KL’s oldest mosque (1909), set where the city’s two rivers meet — floodlit beautifully as part of the River of Life.

The confluence is literally the city’s namesake birthplace (“Kuala Lumpur” = muddy confluence). Dress modestly; robes loaned.
